Refund Policy — 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee

This Refund Policy describes how and when we refund payments made for paid subscriptions to mailcountdowns.com (the "Service"), operated by Sea View Software GmbH, Steinstraße 81–83, 35390 Gießen, Germany ("we," "our," "us").
1. 14-day money-back guarantee
We offer a 14-day, no-questions-asked money-back guarantee on the initial purchase of any paid subscription plan. If, for any reason, you are not satisfied within 14 calendar days of the date of the initial charge, you may request a full refund of that charge — no explanation required.
This guarantee is a voluntary commitment by us and is in addition to — not a replacement for — any statutory rights you may have as a consumer (see Section 5 below).
2. What is covered
- The first charge of a new paid subscription plan (monthly or annual), including upgrades that constitute a new paid plan.
- Charges made within the 14-day window above.
3. What is not covered
- Automatic renewals after the first billing cycle. Please cancel before renewal via the billing area of the Service to avoid renewal charges. If a renewal is charged in error (e.g. cancellation was submitted but did not process), contact us and we will review it in good faith.
- Partial-period refunds outside the 14-day window. Subscriptions cancelled mid-cycle remain active until the end of the paid period; no pro-rated refund is issued.
- Evident abuse, such as repeated sign-ups claiming the 14-day refund across multiple accounts, or use of the Service in breach of our Terms of Service.
4. How to request a refund
Send an email to [email protected] from the email address associated with your MailCountdowns account, including:
- your account email address;
- the Paddle transaction ID or order number (visible in the receipt email you received from Paddle and on the
Billingpage of your account); and - a short confirmation that you want to refund the initial charge (no reason required).
You may also contact Paddle customer support directly via paddle.net using the same receipt. Either path works; we will coordinate with Paddle in either case.
5. How the refund is processed
- Your payment was processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd. acting as Merchant of Record. All refunds are issued by Paddle on our instruction to the original payment method used for the purchase.
- Processing times depend on your payment method and bank. Typical timelines: 5–10 business days for cards, 3–5 business days for PayPal, up to 10 business days for other methods.
- Upon refund, your paid subscription is terminated immediately, any premium features are revoked, and your account reverts to the free tier. Your stored countdowns and account data are preserved unless you also request account deletion.
6. Consumer statutory rights (EU)
If you are a consumer domiciled in the European Union, you also have the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal under §§ 355, 356 BGB, described in Section 7 of our Terms of Service. Our voluntary 14-day money-back guarantee matches or exceeds that statutory right, is available to all customers (not just EU consumers), and — unlike the statutory right — is not lost by activating or using the paid features.
Nothing in this Refund Policy limits any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the law of your country of residence.
